Mrs. Electa McDonald died at her home, in Pontiac township, Sunday night, at eleven o’clock, in the 85th. year of her age. Funeral from the house yesterday afternoon, sermon by Rev, J. Joslin. Deceased was born in Wayne county. New York, Sept. 12, 1799, and came Pontiac July 8, 1827, with her husband, and settled on the farm where she had always lived. Mrs. McDonald was a consistent Christian woman, and her death is sincerely mourned by relatives and friends. She leaves two sons, Geo. A. and S. M., and two daughters, Mrs. H. J. Hopkinson and Miss Catharine A. McDonald. She was also a sister to Mrs. Geo. Hopkinson, who died May 11.
